So I thought I would suggest a schedule for home. Of course, you all have varying schedules, so you can tweak it for you, or not use it at all. This is about 4.5 hrs of work a day. I hope this is helpful.
8-8:15 Check in with kids (maybe while eating breakfast)
8:15-8:30 Do a quick math (multiplication sheet)
8:30-9:30 math (any math pages)
10:00-10:20 Close Read time with questions
10:20-10:45 Independent Reading (They can take an AR test during this time)
11:15-11:30 Choice (Epic, Prodigy, or Typing Club
12:30-1:00 Physical Activity (GoNoodle?)
1:00-1:30 Writing/UTC (cursive practice or journal work
IXL is a place for students to practice math skills. They should be practicing for 30 minutes a day. Students can access IXL at https://www.ixl.com/. Students username is their first initial and last name @willits and their password varies. Please contact me if you need their password.
Students will need the class code to get into Epic. I will put it up tomorrow. Epic is a great for students to read books that are of their interest.Students should be reading 20 minutes a day and filling in a reading log.
They can take AR (https://global-zone08.renaissance-go.com/welcomeportal/286018) tests on the books they read. Their username is their first initial and last name. Their password is their initials lowercase.
Has a wonderful selection of science lessons that are aligned with state standards. Lessons come along with printable worksheets and easy instructions. I encourage you to check it out at https://mysteryscience.com/
Adobe Spark is a great way for students to create presentations. It is not free unless you are a student. Our district is still trying to get this up and going. I will keep you posted! https://spark.adobe.com/
